President’s Report to Tennessee Counseling Association

Professional Development

TACES members met at the School Counseling Institute in March. Plans were discussed for the TCA conference and Journal.

The Journal is currently on track to be published and presented again this year at the TCA November Conference.  A link has been placed on the TCA website to help counselor acess the Journal. Dr. Robin Lee and Dr. Joel Diambra continue to seek articles for publication and have added the tCA list serve a s a vehicle to seek qualified articles.

The TACES Board will meet again at LDC

Division Activities

TACES is supporting a pre-conference session at the TCA conference this year featuring Solution-Focus therapy expert Dr. Gerald Sklare. Dr. Sklare's attendance is a joint project of TCA and TACES. Dr. Sklare will also be the keynote presenter at the TCA conference. Additionally, Dr. Sklare will conduct an Interest session on Monday at the TCA conference that will specifically address Counselor Educators and Supervisors.

TACES Goals

We would like to increase our membership and TACES supports student involvement in our division.
