Saturday, November 28, 1-4 p.m
All counseling professionals who provide supervision to counselors-in-training must have appropriate experience and training in supervision. The unfortunate reality is that most supervisors have not had training in the art and practice of supervision. In order to meet this educational requirement, the presenters of this three-hour workshop will provide all participants with an overview of clinical supervision, issues surrounding the supervisor-supervisee relationship, practical application of supervision theories, and the ethics of supervision specific to Tennessee. Supervisors in all settings will be provided with case examples and experiential activities to develop a better understanding of counseling supervision. Following this session attendees may select to attend an introductory or advanced session to meet the needs of each individual supervisor.
